Seeka Contemporary Handmade Judaic Mezuzahs

Featuring a large selection of Mezuzahs made by Seeka. The Mezuzah case is used to protect the scroll and makes it possible to attach it to the doorpost. The Mezuzah itself is a prayer scroll, handwritten on parchment by a scribe. The text includes the important Jewish prayer, the Shema, and two additional paragraphs from the Torah. The Mitzvah of placing the Mezuzah is derived from Deuteronomy 6:4-9 "inscribe them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates".

Seeka’s mezuzahs are exceptionally unique. Ranging from simple and sweet, to abstract and bold, each piece combines Judaic motifs and industrial art to create a striking piece. Its colors and whimsical feel make it the perfect invitation into your home. Each mezuzah includes a copy of the most important Jewish prayer, the Shema.

Designed by Stavit Allweis, the Mezuzahs are handcrafted in her studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
